In this one, I finally setup, plant, and showcase the new 600 gallon vivarium! It's been in the works for a really long time now and I'm so excited to finally have it done! I've been working on it for the past year or so, but I've been talking about it for much longer than that.
In some cases I wanted to keep this build simple. Plus my vision for it always was just a jungle scape full of plants. I didn't care to add a water feature or anything like that. I also WILL stock it at some point. After all the work I put into this, I'd rather have it season for a little while fist. I'm fairly certain I know what I want living in here, but I'm open to suggestions - let me know what you think in the comments!
Also, if you want to know how I built the enclosure itself, check out the below video. It was pretty easy to do to and not very expensive. I used a lot of scrape materials and simple techniques to make it happen.

@Deximaru3 years agoTanner, i just want to thank you. my 6-year-old son has a huge fear of creepy crawlies, and he is slowly overcoming this fear thanks to watching last summer, i made a jam jar terrarium after watching your ' how to make a terrarium for free' video. I hoped it would show my boy how bugs are an important part of life and (where we live) completely harmless. He wasn' t interested. But since then, a year later, the terrarium is thriving, the flora looks incredible, and the isopods had babies. And one day it finally piqued my son' s interest. since then, we have made another terrarium together, my son has been handling ants, worms, isopods, and almost picked up a spider while hunting for hardscape, moss, and isopods to include. I can' t believe the turnaround. thank you, tanner!. ...Expand347
